About Membership
We're well aware that when some people hear "church membership", they have many misgivings and misconceptions. Church membership is often believed to be an exclusive group of people who are bound for Heaven, leaving all other groups behind. There's the expectation of a large membership fee which grants you special access to the church's services.
While we can't speak for other churches, we at PPAC view membership a bit differently. For us, membership isn't about joining some privileged organization of people who have it all together; membership is about joining the family of God. We define a church as a "community of believers who confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour." We're all sinners in need of salvation, something freely offered by Jesus because of His love for us. And we want to be a community who works together to support and encourage those around us through life's ups and downs. With God as our head, we become a family of brothers and sisters in Christ who genuinely love one another. And we'd love to have you join us in our walk with Jesus. Membership has 2 components: 1) Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. 2) Connecting with a community of fellow believers. |
