Worship. Belong. Learn. Proclaim.
One of the COR values of our church is LEARN. As a church family, we value the education process and want to watch our members grow in the understanding of God and how He created this world. We also believe that Seventh-day Adventist Christian education is one of the better ways to help prepare our youth to be good citizens in both this world and the world to come. Because of this, we strongly support our local Adventist schools and want to provide all our families with an opportunity to choose the ministry they offer to our students.
Our support for Adventist Education has been formalized into a policy that provides substantial tuition assistance for eligible students attending an accredited Seventh-day Adventist school within the State of Michigan, so long as funds are available. The complete policy is available by clicking here.
In the 2020-2021 school year, we voted the following assistance goals:
Our education assistance program is open to those who meet certain established criteria: 1) be an official member of Paw Paw Adventist Church for at least 1 year (as of the start of the school year); 2) regularly attend worship services and other church functions; and 3) actively participate in the ministries of the church family and support our church community.

Additional Funding Options
PPAC Worthy Student Funds
This fund is maintained by PPAC and consists entirely of donations. The amount in the fund varies from year to year and is awarded to members in need to cover qualified educational expenses. These funds are available to members who require assistance above and beyond what is awarded through the PPAC Education Assistance Policy. All requests are reviewed by the Education Committee and ultimately approved or rejected by the PPAC Board. Financial documents and/or tax returns are not required.
"Project Assist" Funds (For Academy students)
These funds are available to Adventist high-school academy students based on financial need. It is a three-way “matching” contribution from the Michigan Conference, the school, and the local church. The amount the conference and the school will match is currently capped at $1,750.00. PPAC awards $2,000.00 to eligible high-school academy students regardless of need (see the PPAC Adventist Education Assistance Policy for more details).
If you desire to receive the matching contribution from the conference and your child’s school, you must complete the “Project Assist Application” (available on the school’s website), attach any necessary financial documents, and submit them to Pastor Michael Taylor. PPAC will “approve” the application and forward it on to the school for final approval. These funds are limited, so it is important to complete and submit your application as soon as possible.
